Bought a KTM 1290 sa because was the best balanced big trail available, even after riding it and knowing that suspension was horrible. And yes, someday, will sell it and never look back. I've also tested the 1290 sd gt, and suspension was actually something that you could call suspension, so imagine how the sa is, but yes, they are simply bad.

The gen 1 in comparison feels rowdier, as in the front end isn't as stable, the tc is much much more abrupt esp when controlling wheelies. The tft dash is friggin awesome on the gen 3. Also the low rpm manners are a good deal better on gen 3 - much less abrupt and jerk low down. Makes commuting and errand running much less of a chore.
